Jag35 rail system

Anyone else out there order a jag35 rail system thinking their gh1/gh2 would fit? Well mine fits too but it would have been nice to be able to remove the battery with out unscrewing the body. After seeing the image of the gh1/gh2 on the rig and the price I bought a bundle jag35 base plate, rails, tripod mount and FF. I had an event days after receiving the package so I wasn't going to send it back. I was just wondering if anyone added or removed anything to get this bundle working and be able to remove the battery. I added a quick release plate and rearranged the rig and now my is working like it should. If anyone's interested I can add some pics. Any other success stories?

I just ordered the same Jag35 dslr baseplate, rails and FF, and would be interested to see what you came up with. I was thinking the same thing that it's gonna be a real pain to swap batteries.

So what I ended up doing was ordering a manfrotto 394 quick release plate

I was hoping the 2 bottom screws would match up with main support body but if not I would just use the main 1/4 screw to mount it. To my amazement the two screws did match up and instead of using the main jag35 dslr mounting body I ended up using the tripod mount this also help lower my gh2 body because the manfrotto added almost an inch to the height. I don't have an ajustment raiser for my matte box so lowering it helped it align vertically. Horizontally it is off about a half an inch you can see in the photos. The manfrotto is really heavy duty but once you figure out the play releasing and reattaching it becomes easier with time. Hopefully this helps someone else out.

Has anyone tried the Gorilla Quick Release system that Jag35 offers? I believe it couples with a Zacuto plate? That might be a solution.

@MediaMason what kind of matte box do you have?

Yes, but unfortunately the Zacuto Gorilla plate covers the battery door. There doesn't seem to be many base plates out there that don't block access to the GH1/2's battery.
