C100: jag 35 baseplate for follow focus with c100?

hey guys. recently bought jag35 follow focus from a friend. he had previously sold me a gini rig handheld rig with all manner of rods and plates. i figured i could use that stuff to make the follow focus work on a tripod. i finally figured out a configuration that worked, but problem is follow focus is not about a quarter inch too low, cause c100 sits up so high. looks like i really need an adjustable baseplate. does anyone know if that jag35 one (the $66 one) will work the way i need with a c100? ideally something that could work with a variety of cameras is what im after. something that would allow you to raise or lower the plate that mounts into the cam's bottom relative to the height of the rods.

Probably - the rails need to be up near the bottom of the camera. That baseplate looks very bad, though; flimsy and unstable. I've used something like it before and it flexed very badly. You'd be better off getting a purpose built one like the one made by Shape.

Thanks. I saw that their reviews were great, didnt realize it was that much of an issue.

just looked at that shape baseplate, if i was gonna pay that much, id rather it be all purpose (work with other cams). I was really just looking for a way to attach this follow focus i bought for $100 that seems like it would make life easier on certain shoots to different cams, now i see ive gone down a rabbit hole of spending money.

It might not be, but remember that pretty much all that is holding your >2KG camera package up is a couple of screws. Also, no 3/8" screw option for improved stability.
