Hey, man, its my pleasure and honor to get to watch Jack and learn something. I've got some frequent flyer miles and I've always had an affinity for the city. Besides, in L.A. and San Fran its cool to off-handedly throw into the conversation, "well, I'm off to New York this week to shoot."

I hope to at least get some BTS footage of the master in his element for you all to see.

Will be very exciting to see this one.

I really like the asian horror movies that has come out in the recent years so it is very cool that you are drawing inspiration from that.
Have you seen some of the HK ones? The Eye is very good, was a long time since I saw it though.
I am not too fond of Grindhouse, a bit too sadistic for my taste, hehe. Hostel made even a desensitized guy like me feel kind of disgusted and I didn't even finish Devil's rejects. :shocked:

Edit: I was checking imdb and I saw the info on the remake of The Eye (haven't seen The Eye 2 yet which stars the absolutely gorgeous Shu Qi, need to see that one.) , Tom Cruise and Jessica Alba...... :shocked: I rememer hearing he had bought the rights but didn't know about the casting.

(No offense to the other filmmakers on dvxuser, but this seems to be his thread so I am just being extra nice to the host!)

And since everyone seems to visit here, let me just say I am enjoying learning from all of you... my instructors and fellow students here at DVXUniversity.

I can't wait to see all of the entries in this contest!!! It so hard to find a good scary movie anymore. This should be great!

I'm not expecting to win. My goal is simpliy to scare the **** out of people! Litterally..

I'm going to shoot mine with a rusty dvx through a shoebox with saranwrap and wax paper over the lens, and I have a hunch that might be the key to good horror.

I'm in crashed computer hell right now. The files are being recovered I think but I will have to reinstall everything.

More than anything, lost a crucial day of preproduction and of dayjob video editing work which will eat into the now futhre behind pre-production art departement and VFX stuff.

things are extra tight because we go out of town tomorrow for my sister's wedding and then we don't get back late on the 5th before we shoot on the 7th

... two whole sets to dress plus makeup and blood effects in a day or two ... SHEESH!

So Jack, is "my sister's wedding" code for something? Didn't you just use that excuse last month??? How many more sisters you have getting married before Oct. 1st?
