It's great to see originality flourishing on the boards. Honestly? Your marketing scheme is intimidating and obviously infectious as I've seen inklings of your thread-style showing up not only in other horror-fest entries, but in movie update threads outside of this category. Flattery at it's best.

Good news on the possibility of scoring HVX(s) for your short. I know I know... it's about story, lighting, yadda... and yadda. Lets face it: it can only help you out as far as the images are concerned. It'll be a treat to see what you do when you migrate over to the HD format.

I do have a question, which you may not be able to answer after this: Your budget counter still reads eighteen (18)... do you still think it's going to sky rocket? =P

Jack has tapped into my inner psycho. ... Seriously, after spending 14 years handling catastrophic injury cases as a trial attorney, I've spent more time in morgues and anatomy labs than most medical students. So, when Jack inquired regarding realistic mayhem, well, how could I say no :)

Hey Jack, I'd love to read through all 14 pages you've got already, but it's about 2am in the morning & I'm BEAT. But what an AMAZING first post you have. Not only do I look up to your filmmaking abilities, but I'm in awe of your photoshop work and HTML/thread posting abilities. EXTREMELY COOL STUFF.

Without even looking at the other threads yet (I've not even looked at Horror Fest yet - may be my first contest to sit out), I'd be surprised if anyone elses can even rival the pro level you're putting out with this.

Hey Matt, as you can by the tele-collaboration (Brooklyn / L.A.) it was all magic from Mark's excellent computer skillz .

I think maybe some of that stuff is mapped from real crime photos and victims though since he was a forensics lawyer and has a tome of that stuff :eek:

K, startng to follow this thread now. HOLY SMOKES, that is incredible. Who needs on set make-up anymore with a guy like that on your team? 'Course motion tracking it onto an animated object would be another feat, but still ...

(pretty much -- we are doing some gore effects with a combination of practical effects and CGI)
