OK I downloaded it but how the hell do you view them in final cut 5?

Can someone please explain to me?
Thanks

Go to "import ->Panasonic P2" and edit as usual from there.

I don't understand all the fusz about noise. In the still pictures in this thread I can not see any noise at all !!!!!! Is it only visible in the video and not in stills or should I let my eyes checked ????

I think everyone agrees that noise is not an issue when you have enough light. These shots have plenty of light and so noise is not an issue. The only thing people are questioning is the noise level in low light footage they have seen in other footage. So everyone, including myself, combs every second of footage looking to see if there even is a noise "issue." In these clips there is nothing to worry about. They look amazing! Especially the water on hands shot.

Nope, raw MXF's. You can open them in Avid Express Pro. Mr. Blonde tipped me off on how to open them.

....copy the mxf file into: "Avid MediaFiles\MXF\1" folder and then open the Media Tool under the tools bar. Select the drive to which your mxf\1 folder is stored on. Then you should see all the MXF files in the media tool bin, drag the mxf into the regular bin, then down to the timeline. =)

Rodrigo, I'd like to see you do another pass at that shot if you have time. I see an awful lot of 4x4 pixelation on all edges. You crushed the spill really well but those edges are pretty fugly. I'm guessing that's just Ultimatte, because I didn't see anything that looked at all like that on the stuff I worked with. But I'd like to be sure, y'know?
