iTV distribution...

I thought about putting this in the compression forum... but it doesn't quite fit, and there's hardly anyone there... so to General HVX comments it goes!!!

Anyway, does anyone know if it will be possible to upload our HD content on the itunes store to distribute it through iTV? I heard about a similar thing with independant bands uploading to iTunes to distribute... just wondering, as this would be so fricking cooll....

Maybe they'll have something similar for movies when iTV finally comes out...

My main focus would be using it for marketing/promo movies for the corporate work I do. The current program seems geared towards independant musicians.

If they do go ahead with something similar, I will be curious to see how they split the sales up. Obviously movies will be much more data to transfer, and demand a higher price than music.. but it's gotta be worth it...

time will tell, i suppose...
 
But I guess this may be null and void if you can show any downloaded content on your television...
So one could set up a website with the downloadable content so that an iTV user could surf the web, download it, and show it on their tv... right?

sorry for the train of thought... just trying to figure a few things out for future marketing plans...

oh... and i just rememberd it's Apple TV, not iTV.. before anyone kills me over the title, and references...
