Unfortunately due to various technical issues it is how close you are to 710 posts that creates the order - I wish it was not this way, but apparently this is the most fair system.

Just had a look on ebay, there is an Iscorama 50mm on there right now - is that the one you are bidding on ?

It's currently at $482.00 !! Too expensive for me right now ! :(

How much do they normally go for ? I was hoping you could find one for $250-300 ?

And that's with a misaligned blade too, likely requiring some additional work, adding to the cost.

People from this forum and from related forums are definitely affecting the outcome of that auction. Would be funny if someone in this thread was also the seller, strategically placing it at just the right time.
If the lens didn't have any problems, and had been recently serviced, then I'd consider bidding, but doubtful I'd go beyond 550. I Would quickly "buy now" at 350.

One might rest comfortably knowing that the resell value of the lens would hold strong, but after acquiring a lens like this, it's highly unlikely it would be sold any time soon. The rarity and unique image it provides is very attractive. The people bidding on this know exactly what they want to do with it, and they're prepared to invest in this for long term usage.

Sorry! I got the number for the lens hoarder directly and he said he had three, sold two to get some money to buy tools (lol) and gave the third to his daughter. When I asked if I could have his daughters phone number he laughed.

Next week I will be in touch with an old Isco reseller who said they would check out their old stock. They have no idea since there was no market so far. They didn't expect such interest before the 5D2 release. If so, it is new lenses old stock, not used glass. No exact idea about the price though. If you are interested please post it here. I will contact you via PM just for the case.

I don't know if posted in the thread I won't be breaking any forum policies? They said they would probably have spare parts too. He was too sure. The partner in charge is in vacations though. He comes next days. It would be possible to make new pieces from there. That's what I heard.

Clearly this lens is sweet and works great with new video DLSR's. My question is there must me more than this brand that is any good at a reasonable price. And not MASSIVE.

SO what other Anamorphic options are there under say 1000 dollars?

I am interested, especially if they're in Unused, EX+ condition.
Although, you being a new member/poster here has me feeling a bit suspicious.
Especially seeing as it's right after Kholi's plans fell through; the timing seems awfully convenient. But please do keep me updated on this.

CBS, I never requested that you be silent.
That would be silly.
I just found the situation peculiar and felt necessary to express it as such.
However, in doing so, if you felt I was implying that you be quiet, then I will apologize and choose better words next time to ensure the lines of communication between you and rest of us on this particular subject remains wide open.

CBS - If you truley have a contact to get some NOS lenses. Please keep me in the loop...if i can get my hands on a NOS isco lens i would be more then happy to let mine go for a deal.
