I don't know of any specific way to test for UHS-I compliance. Usually the card label has the UHS-I designation. ( I don't know if I would trust an eBay vendor unless they can send you a photo of the new label with the UHS-I designation on it.)

Any clue what the longest 'take' you can make on the largest card in a GH3 might be?
With a 128 GB SDXC card, and using the 50 Mbps IPB MOV recording option, you will get almost 5 hours and 20 minutes of recording on a single card.
That is more than enough recording time to cover the most demanding continuous recording jobs.
