C100: Is this hawk woods plate working with C100 ?

Thanks. What battery adapter do you use to power your ninja ?
I'm using a very similar setup since I also have an edelkrone evf holder, the WC top plate with a front hotshoe, and like you I want to power everything with one single battery...

The hawkwoods plate find out to be a little expensive for me at last, so I bought a temporary -but nice!- solution : some swit 8845 batteries with DC out for the c100, the atoms dummy battery, and a d-tap to DC cable.

Works fine, I'm now testing how long one battery can last while powering the c100 and with the blade recording...

We went the same route, before going for the Hawk Woods solution - I think we got around 30 mins max with 8845s running the C100 and NB. The final deal-breaker was the way the 8845 ramped down when it's subjected to this load - it didn't gradually fall off, giving you time to think, "I may need a fresh battery soon..." More like, "I may need... damn, it's just cut off..."

It's a great idea, but both batteries we tried did the same thing. Let us know if you experience differently.

On the other hand, the Hawk Woods solution - expensive as it is - just works. I think we clocked 4.5 hours, running the C100 and NB continuously. I very rarely get through more than one battery a day.

Ben.

Ouch. Finished my tests. Just like you said, the swit battery lasted around an hour.
And as you said, even with the battery graph on the c100 saying that it still got half life, ninja just cut off

i must say I'm kind of disappointed....

i will ill consider the hawkwoods solution again even if I have to save a little before I can afford it, but I must say I was also happy to not having to put rods on my camera and still stay lightweight

i I guess we can't have everything and must make compromises...

thanks for for your advices though
