Is this a gray market camera?

Hi Guys, I purchased an HVX-200 yesterday from Full Compass for $5075. I asked twice if the camera was legit in the US and was told yes. I got my invoice this morning and in the item column it says AGHVX200PJ, does the J mean that it is gray market?

Just checked and mine is a HVX200P, SN starts with J so thats probably what that means. I would trust FullCompass. Shawn Tallard works there and is a member here - I'm sure he could fill in any other questions. And they are an authorized dealer so I wouldnt sweat it.
 
They are Panny Authorized, thats why I bought there. I guess I'm just a little careful with all the talk of gray market stuff. Thanks for your reply's.

Good for you for being careful. I figured this was another 'is this 2000 dollar hvx legit?'

To ease your mind, Full Compass is and authorized dealer. You done good.

That's not a gray market camera, all US market cameras now have the PJ suffix. The P indicates NTSC, and the J indicates the camera was manufactured in Japan.

Full Compass is not only an authorized Panasonic reseller, but also a service center.
