C100: Is there any C100 Atomos example footage available to download somwhere?

Regarding my earlier frame grabs of the airport:

Totally agree with Erik and Matt. I simply posted the grabs to show that gamma, sharpness and color tint were more or less consistent between recorder and AVCHD on a simple scene, and not WIDELY different as was shown in the earlier video of the bank note. The ProRes isn't there to automatically make things "better," but instead to fill in the gaps where AVCHD struggles. You can see color blocking in the background with deep red objects for instance. And the AVCHD smears with quick motion. In that case the prores footage might appear sharper, but I don't think sharpness is inherent of the bitrate, just that there's less chance of pixels mushing together with motion.

Perhaps the real lesson here is that you should be able to get your AVCHD clips to match your ProRes clips without much fuss on color correcting if you need to mix the two formats in certain situations. And that external recording on the Ninja can definitely be worth the trouble. I just bought my second...

My comment on sharpness was from what I saw in the sample that I should have never posted. :0

Absolutely - deffo on that point. There's something diabolical in the C100 at least that makes certain types of red at a certain IRE range fall apart on AVCHD, and heavy motion is an issue too.

I've managed to calm down from pixel peeping the AVCHD for strangeness in its PSF recording (i.e. internal only), but now we bring it up, I shouldn't be - to pick an activity at random - playing poker. (insert mashup of Matt & Le Chiffre from Casino Royale)
