C100: is there an EVF that supports the magnification of a C100/C300?

I do own the Zacuto EVF Pro, which I am not really big fan of, the screen is so-so, but it does it's job somehow. But one thing I really hate is the disability of using the magnification of my C100 on it. In a recent video Steve from Zacuto said the new EVF, thanks to the new HDMI cable (?), will support the magnification.
So I am wondering now if any of the other EVFs actually support that function???
I'd gladly upgrade.

No, expanded focus is not available on the HDMI output.

You're limited to the 1:1 focus button on the Zacuto EVF - or craning backwards, looking at the camera LCD panel and cocking up the shot in the process.

It's one of the ergonomic elephants in the C100 Room.

- EDIT - but I do recommend the Ninja Blade as a screen on which you can actually get critical focus most of the time without needing expanded focus.
 
One other thought, if you have the time and DIY skills:

The button on the EVF is just a regular old-fashioned push-latching switch. You could feasibly solder a cable in parallel, feed that to a push button mounted near your right thumb and switch expanded focus on and off with that.

Alphatron has a nice magnifying tool, but sometimes I mistake when the A is magnified and the C300 is not
 
tool? Like a remote?
Cinreoid once and only for one model had some sort of remote that triggered the pixel2pixel. I just have no idea how all these pretty high prized EFVs come without a tool or solution like that.
 
I've said it before in another thread. But i was so happy to sell my evf pro and c shooter and instead just go for z finder. Shots are more stable , no hdmi bumping etc. And magnification of course already works.
 
Like Ben said. Keep your LCD open for magnification punch in. That's easy to use when on a tripod but very weird when on your shoulder to tilt your head to see focus, however, you do get used to it. I have learned to stop recording when I do this so it doesn't look so bad during post, unless I need continuous audio.

I have the Small HD DP4 EVF and it does not allow magnification.

When in doubt I stay wider.
 
I am asking myself why there is such a lack of decent EVF though the screen-technology is available. Why do phones come with 2k displays and we have to look onto aweful resultion-screens.
I just dont get it.
