Is there an App for that?

[Hawk Teflon]

I have an iPhone. I edit on Final Cut Pro. Both are apple products.

Is there an app that I can run that will show me either:

a.) How much render time I have left in FCP
OR
b.) A live screen shot of my mac so I can leave the render bar active and just zoom into that?

This would help me a lot.

Yes, use a VNC viewer to check on render bar. There is a free one for iPhone called Mocha VNC Lite
You'll also need to set up Screen Sharing on your Mac

Thanks! I just tried setting this thing up, and it's really confusing. Do you use this?

I haven't used it yet personally but I've seen it working on my brother's iPod Touch. What problem are you having?

[Hawk Teflon]

It won't seem to connect. It just times out again and again.

I talked about Reel Director for the iPad not too long ago, as it now does 720p HD video, but don't remember too much of a response about it.

Have you tried connecting to it from another computer on the same network with regular VNC?

[Hawk Teflon]

There are no other computers on the network. Just mine.
