Had my HMC151 since it came out. it's been a great camera, super reliable, great image quality, a real workhorse. Still haven'e seen any camera that could fill that roll as well with a similar size and weight. My ideal replacement would be the same camera, with a higher resolution sensor, better low light performance, 1080 50P, and an option to record in Pro-Res.
Don't think it'll happen though, so I'll probably keep using my 151 until it falls apart, or until 4k becomes a necessity for my type of work (at least 5 years off I reckon).
Yeah. Surely ~5 years later, technology has advanced enoough that they could make a replacement HMC150 with a little better sensors even using CCDs. Backlit maybe. Even if it still didn't have true full raster chips, but could do 1080 60P and had an LCD with red focus peaking I'd buy another. Or maybe replace the ones I have with the new ones. Alas, I don't see it happening. Surely not with CCDs anyway. They COULD have used the 150 body size with the MOS chips but they wanted that 22X zoom which was part of the reason for making the 130/160 so much larger.
