IS there a P2 CMS for MAC PPC?

Hello There,

I just saw Barry Green's post on workflow from HVX200 p2 to MAC.
He mentions the MAC p2 CMS program at this link:

My question, what about those of us (hopefully more than one) who are still using a PPC Power MAC G5??? I see where the Panasonic app runs on the intel platform only!

Any ideas there? I did drag and drop, and did not protect the card and seem to have not problems (yet), but also the footage it test footage only so I would loose nothing.

Next time I will at a minimum protect the card.

If there are any programs to manage the P2 files for a PPC Mac, I would like to know.
(I am currently pricing an Intel based MAC)

I had this same problem and found out that even though it says it only works on Intel, if you just d/l it, it will run just fine on your G5.

Always protect your card whether it is through P2CMS or the Finder, it may work most all of the time with no problem, but it is that one time in 1000 it doesn't work that matters. Good Luck.

P.S. I had a hell of a time searching for this in the forums when I had this problem because the keywords "PPC" or "G5" were too small to be searched for. Not sure if you had the same problems, but definitely frustrating.
 
Glad i saw this post, i was about to ask the same thing. This should be noted on berry Green's post.
