Is there a difference in video quality between the Canon Vixia s100 VS Canon XA10?

I have the Canon Vixia S100. Great little camera I can put in a bigger pocket and take for outdoor filming.
Will I see much of a difference in video quality if I get the Canon XA10?

Wondering if the Canon XA10 will be better in low light, or video quality?
Love the idea of XLR inputs of the XA10.

I wonder if Canon will be replacing the Canon XA10 with a newer model soon?

Here are samples of my Canon Vixia S100

Still waiting for an answer if I would see a difference in video quality and low light improvement in the XA10 over the Canon Vixia s100?

Different sensor, different electronic processing, different optics.

Off the top of my head, the Canon G10, Canon XA10, Canon XF100 use a new specially designed for low-light shooting 1/3 inch sensor.

Compared to the Panasonic X900 or TM900 cameras, the Canon G10/XA10 records less detail in good light, but has much better low-light performance.

Hi, thank you.
If I go with the G10 over the Xa10 with the xlr input, will I notice any audio difference? I would use external mic, and have it in the audio in jack. I assume xlr is always better then an Audio In jack. But how much of a difference?
Just trying to figure out if I need to pay 800 more for a handle XA10 , or I can make things work just the same with a G10.
thanks

...It will all come down to the audio pre-amps and the audio circuitry of the camera. I find that most consumer / low-cost prosumer cameras require a fairly strong audio signal to record good sound.

If I was buying the G10 I would probably buy a juicedLink RM333 Riggy Micro Low-Noise Preamp ( which will bolt to the bottom of the camera ) to power and amplify the audio signal from my XLR mics before sending it to the G10 for recording.

I think I will get the G10 camera. I have been happy with my HFS100, and use a sennheiser wireless mic system with it.
So for around 1100, do you think the G10 is still worth the money or is there something else. I really don't see a need to pay more money for the xa10.
The G10 and HFS100 type cameras make great B cameras for jobs, and for nature photography and travel, they are easy to put in a pocket and go.
What do you think.

For me it would be a choice between the Panasonic X900 and the Canon G10.

- X900 has a sharper image with better color in brighter light
- G10 has much better low-light performance

...The low-light performance is tough to give up, as you never know when you might need it. No customer complains that their video isn't sharp enough ( unless you don't focus properly ), but they will complain if the video is dark or grainy.
