AC90: Is the AC90A just a AC90 with updated firmware?

We just bought a 90A, but I'm seeing all these 90s for cheap cheap cheap. Then I came here to read around and it appears that the 90A is just a 90 with a firmware update?

Should I return my 90A and just buy a 90 and update its firmware? Some 90s are as low as 1300... confused on this, help appreciated.

Where are you seeing all these 90s for cheap cheap cheap?
 
The 90 can, indeed, become a 90A with the free firmware update. I got a great deal on a basically new 90 and did the upgrade.
 
Many times the cheap units come from offshore and if you get one of these and have a problem, it will be off warranty in the country where you live - you will have to send it back to the country of origin. The time/cost is likely to offset any initial savings.
