Is the A7rII worth it if I will shoot with a Shogun anyway?

I am thinking of getting the A7s but the A7rII was just announced, it's MUCH MUCH more pricey in the UK though. Do you guys think there is any real difference between A7s+Shogun vs A7rII+Shogun?

If you're using a shogun anyway, and won't be shooting stills (for which the a7R II is clearly better), then I believe you're better off with the a7S, which does a full read in FF mode and is around a stop better at very high ISO (going by indirect Sony statements). The only advantage of the a7R II is that you have IBIS. And the high fps may be better too (not sure yet).

(That's a veeery broad question, which should probably go on another thread, that you probably should start with some explanation on what's your budget, what are your needs, and what equipment you already have) (or, for a start, you can just go here) (in any case, I don't think you can wrong if you get the 55mm f/1.8 FE and the two Batis lenses, 25mm f/2.0 and 85mm f/1.8)

The auto focus should also be significantly better on A7R MK II.

The advantages of the 15 MPX oversampling into 4K are yet to be seen/reviewed.

Since most of my work is photography these days (I'd say around 85% - 90%), I've decided to sell my A7s and Shogun for the A7RII.

Please forgive me for the plug, but if anyone is interested, I'm selling the A7S for $1700USD, and Shogun (full kit with 3-Year Atomos warranty) for $1500USD :)
