GH2 IS putting a C-mount lens on a gh2 dangerous?

I know people say use google and search, and I did and found conflicting reports.

I saw a couple of test videos

and I want the pentax 6 mm c mount lens. but then I read this

http://www.eoshd.com/content/512/is-this-the-scariest-gh2-lens-in-the-world-computar-8mm-f1-3

Worse, I have found that most wide c-mount lenses protrude frighteningly close to the sensor.
Some c-mount adapters are thinner than others too, so it’s pointless measuring the lens alone. You never are quite sure on sight whether or not the lens will screw right into the sensor, and if it does then you will need a new camera.

so whats the story, I want wide low light and I can get it cheap here and it seems up to the same as the panny, but is it dangerous? It took me a long time to save for the gh2 and im terrified to break it

So don't damage it! You can take some time and do measurements or else carefully insert the adapter and then the lens. As the lens screws in, it will hit the baffles first. It wont hit the sensor and would be useless if it came to close as the vignetting and smearing would make the lens unusable. Please stick to the accepted lenses for use on these cameras. After a few weeks using them, you will know more about them. There are cs mount lenses that are no use on m4/3 cams. Many vendors do not distinguish. Some of the other posts on c mount lenses make it clear which ones are good?

There are no reports of damaged sensors. Some folks deter others.... why, I do not know. I left a forum as they continually bitched about my posting on c mount zooms. They wanted warnings as to the degree of vignetting! Else I was not to post at all about them! Weird!
