Is my HVX Faulty? - Weird IMage Garbling

I shot some interview footage on Saturday (hot day in the 90s in So Cal) and when I imported the footage from my p2 cards (in camera) to Final Cut Pro via Firewire, I discovered this weird image garbling for a couple of frames. You can see the garbling in the still photo below, or also in this 3 second video clip:

I did a search on the forum, but couldn't find reference to this issue. It's never happened before, but is clearly a problem if i don't know why or when it will crop up.

Unfortunately, I couldn't check the original footage on the P2 card, because I formatted it directly after import, so it's possible that this happened during Final Cut importing, but that seems unlikely in my mind...

Any thoughts??

You shouldn't import directly from a P2 card into FCP.
A lot of users have reported garbled imports using this method.
A reimport will fix it, but is of cause not possible if you formatted the cards.
It's a P2driver/FCP issue

It is encouraged to first backup your P2 cards to a disk, and then import into FCP using the data from the drive.
