Is it worth getting CCTV lenses for the GH1?

So I've seen some pretty impressive results with CCTV lenses on the GH2. The fact that you can get super wide shots for cheap money is pretty tempting. I'm curios though, are there any CCTV lenses+adapter that won't cause heavy vignetting on the GH1? Since it doesn't have crop mode like the GH1 I am unsure if it's worth getting a lens like that. Has anyone tried cropping the image in post?

I just saw this video on youtube that had a GH1 with a 35 mm CCTV lens attached it, imo the footage looks really poor. All blurred and a focus hot spot in the middle. Is this the case for all the lenses that do not vignette?

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this!

I like the pentax 25mm 1.4, Slight vinetting when it is wide open. Great for still portraits. ok for video but you need to ND it if you want to use it wide open.

Why not just purchase lenses which fully cover the sensor?
I would if I had money, most wide angle lenses I found cost way too much for me. I use a 50 mm and a 18-55 mm on my camera, but I feel like that 18 mm ain't wide enough for some of the things I want to do. At least not on the GH1. That is why I am searching for something that is wider than the 18 but also something that doesn't cost a fortune. I've looked at the the kit lens, which looks quite good but everywhere I find one it's seriously overpriced!

I have one of these cheap CCTV lenses and it reminds me of the LensBaby without the shift-tilt options. It does vignette when it is wide open. The focus is soft and even dreamy. I've not had a real good use for it on a project yet, but it is in my bag. The Panasonic 20mm 1.7 is nice, but the bokeh can't touch my Pentax 50mm 1.4. I use the Pentax all the time and the glass is older than me (it was my father's lens).

I bought one for my Sony NEX-5N through a seller at Amazon. Then the photos were too soft. Manual focus is no fun too. It's only $35 but I returned it.

So it seems like getting CCTV lenses for a GH1 is a bad idea if you don't want some kind of dreamy effect, I use manual focusing all the time so that's not a problem. I guess I'll be better off looking for something else.. Does anyone lenses wider than 18 mm that does NOT cost a fortune? The quality doesn't have to be super sharp but it doesn't need to be crap either.

EDIT: I think I'll order one anyways and see what I can come up with.
