GH13 Is GH1 filmic to anyone...?

No, seriously, great job! This contrasty low light is really well recreating the first b/w cameras with high contrast like in the German expressionism.

Its strange, everyone runs away from low light codec breakdown stuff, macrobloking and all. Ive just found mine enough capable in non hack mode and 100mps max latitude v2 GH13. Some time when on post lighten to much would brake, but it was a exelent camera. Better than the Canon 60D and the 550i we had on second shooting.

Im from Perú, and we dont make those kind of films too much. had mixed critics, and and so far 12 minutes of footage. I have a 3 day shooting in october so i can finish the movie. Maybe i would show you some advances in the coming days.

The GH13 is amazing camera, even its FPN (fixed pattern noise) has its mojo lol. I used it in my movie and it gives it some special look, like a texture when is in Black n white. a texture over the image that has its own feel, even at 100mps 24p V2 hack from Lpowell who i thank alot, you can see FPN and i kind of enjoy it.
 
Thanks Phenixone it was the exact look i wanted but in HD. Some one told me to make it look like 8mm in post, but ive never seen in HD a real contrasty vintage B&W film. Even Pi, from Aronovsky is contrasty and i used it as reference but mine its like more contrasty, feels dense.

Wow that trailer looks fantastic, far better than most horror trailers that end up on youtube, actually looked like a great and very dark film worth watching!

In terms of Filmic, for me I don't think the Canon DSLRs look Filmic, I think they have a canon DSLR aesthetic that is unlike any other camera around - and right or wrong, people love that aesthetic. Personally though I think it will reach critical mass fairly soon, and so many short films and videos will just have the same look and feel due to the "Canon factor". The GH1/2 off the bat may not look as appealing to some, but I think it is a far more flexible image and I love the results from mine. Some good lenses in front of it and you're set.

I have another question about the GH1. You know how Canon has the Technicolor cinestyle deal, is there one the GH1? Or with the hack, it's not even needed? I guess what I'm asking is if the GH1 hack is post friendly with grading if one had dreams (or delusions) of grandeur (the big screen)? Danke.
