Is FS100 compatible with Final cut pro X ?

Sorry we are new so please be kind to our ignorance , we are looking into the FS100, can you import the footage directly in to Final cut pro x or do you need to get a completely differnt software to convert wich if so we will have to pass on this great camera or does final cut x handle AVCHD? never worked with AVCHD so just wondering thanks in advance! =) also which is the american version I have seen FS100 UK model what does the UK stand for?

You can export files directly into FCPx but it does transcode them into Pro Res 422.

You can have FCPX import and work with the native AVCHD without transcoding, and depending on your system you may be able to get real time editing and effects.
