Is component out NTSC or PAL sensitive?

This may be a stupid question but here goes:

I'm stuck with my trusty NTSC HVX200 in the wonderful PAL China so I cant use any of the monitors here.
I would like to use the HD component out port to connect to a HD monitor here. Will this work or is there also going to be a NTSC/PAL conflict?

There may be a conflict, it depends on the monitor. Some monitors support all modes of HD, some are region-specific.

Yes, Component video is PAL & NTSC specific.

However most systems that support HD Component inputs can support both formats.
