is B&H going to check the shutter counter on my returned 7d?

So, i wasnt happy with the kit lens on my 7d, so im returning it. I have no idea how many shots i took in the 2 days I used it, but its most likely over their limit for return. That being said, will othey even check? I haven't found the shutter count yet on the camera, i guess you need to hok it up to your computer?

On most of the Canon SLR cameras you can't easily check the shutter count.
I doubt B@H could/would check the shutter count.

considering they're going for $1700 and are in demand, I don't see them dropping near that low until a new model is released.

They might hit $1500 in 6 months, but $1000?

I've been keeping an eye on the new and used ebay market for the 5D Mark II and that particular camera is now selling new for $200 less than it was a few months ago, and the used cameras around the same.

I predict that in six months the new cost for the 7D will most likely be around $1500, not from Canon direct necessarily, but definitely from authorized dealers.

you can find the shutter count under battery info in the menu. looks like a wrench with 3 dots.
