Is anybody still working on a firmware hack?

I would just like to state that Vitali rocks. I would not be spending much time here if he had not hacked the GH1. Once again sir, I tip my hat to you as your hack opened up new worlds of quality to me previously only fantasized about. Might as well have designed a brand new camera yourself such is the difference between a reg GH1 and a properly hacked GH13.

How far out does a hack seem for the "unhackable" GH1? I am very interested in donating in order to speed this process up. Is the money going towards the purchase of a GH1? Adorama only has the new firmware versions... couldnt find an old firmware anywhere... so heres to making the new hack work.

Money are going to GH1 hack and purchase of unhackable GH1 bodies, yes.
We really hope to make latest bodies hackable.
 
OK - Let's get this party started. The project needs an estimated $1000 for Gh1 bodies, shipping and some collateral items and services. I just contributed $100, so, $900 to go. Tell your friends! Let's rally and get this done.

By the way, Vitally, you need a larger contribution amount on the drop down than $50. At least $100.

David, $100 contributions are quite rare, so $50 maximum is ok :-)

As for total sum, bad news is it is larger than $1000 due to shipping costs, good news is that we are at about 37% percent aleady.

Vitaliy, just for my understanding, if you'll be able to hack an unhackable GH1, you'll automatically be able to hack GH2?

Thanks. We are up to about 45%.
Btw, donating to this hack can be good investition considering current GH1 body prices.
having many cameras is always better than one. Even of all but one are on tripods.
