is AI gonna take our jobs?

Crap sells irregardless. Movies for some reason if they have a ton of maddening violence impress the psychotic itch some sarcastic teenagers have despite a grandma who would be horrified at the sight of blood needing something like a romantic story between a heir of a king marrying a commoner during the 17th century in wealthy England.

Write me a hit youtube channel right now then. Name of star, their demo, concept for channel, first episode.

ChatGPT?

The problem is most successful youtubers are inventive and have something surprising going on. I'm not sure this show would be a hit.

Yes, ChatGPT. But you knew because it was better than I could write it. I copied your challenge to Chat word for word. You could try doing the same and see if Chat duplicates the same answer or else gives something new and original.

And if a human had come up with a different version, you would know that to be a hit?

AI could take the place of a writer who wants to make a rip off slasher film, but taking the place of a writer who say wrote something spectacular like Gone with the Wind would take impossible effort. This essentially is a call for Hollywood to work harder and stop making sequels, remakes, and rip-offs. The data AI uses is stuff that has already been done.

But you knew because it was better than I could write it.

Well, I knew something was off immediately because the amount of text and care with which it was written and formatted was obviously way more effort than I would expect you to put in on this thread.

The treatment itself is totally plausible and I have seen various things like this on broadcast TV or maybe YouTube. The truth is that the magic sauce of something like this is the persona of the lead, such as Rachel Ray. The treatment itself is not that original, as Zachadoodle alluded to.

But I find that YouTubers usually have something weird going on, something I wouldn't expect. That's why I don't feel like this is a standout treatment for the medium, regardless of who wrote it.

I'm not so sure it wouldn't be the hit you say the treatment wouldn't indicate, because Mia Rodriquez is already a rising 21 year old pop star in her own right. So the first step in a hit YouTube series could indeed be to start with Mia Rodriquez as the persona of the lead, young talent going outside of the box. You asked for a star, AI picked one that you didn't know. Rachel Ray is a cook, but Drew Barrymore, Kelly Clarkson step outside their known genre with success. Not inconceivable that a singer songwriter does the same, Carrie Underwood on SNF. Michael Strahan became a huge success on Live!, GMA, 100,000 pyramid, astronaut etc.

I see how it is. I've got a better pitch for you --

Same exact treatment, but the lead is a rising pop star named Taylor Swift. I can guarantee you many times more subs.

If the big idea is "start with someone who's already famous," it's like that joke about how the best way to win a million dollars at the races is to start with two. If your treatment can't turn unknowns into celebrities then it doesn't foot the bill.

Now wait a sec, none of anything was my idea. I just copied this line from your post and fed it to ChatGPT verbatim,
"Write me a hit youtube channel right now then. Name of star, their demo, concept for channel, first episode."

ChatGPT crafted exactly what you asked for, including naming the star (Mia Rodriquez) to give you a hit YouTube channel, "right now." Now you're saying unfair. Well, you moved the goal posts. Maybe you should have refined your request use an unknown person who would become a pop star in 2 years as a result of the YouTube channel.

And I liked the idea of Taylor Swift, but she is not taking my phone calls and sent back the Victoria Secrets lingerie.

Rick Beato (great music channel generally) just made a video about AI replacing musicians, he includes samples of purely AI generated music with vocals.

One of the things he mentions is that most of the people he exposed to the AI songs didn't identify it as AI. He makes a point about the prevalence of heavy effects, auto-tune and all the other audio software's ability to cover up mistakes etc. in post-production; and how that has allowed AI to easily mimic a lot of pop music convincingly. Makes sense.

I don't really care if new music is AI or real humans, as long as it is good. If my favorite bands want to crank out a few more albums that are as good as the rest of their portfolio, I'll be first in line to download. Or the first to piss on it if they suck.

What's next, singer disqualified from Grammys after not using auto-tune?
That's funny. This particular category of the competition was AI-only, which I think makes sense if they want to let people submit fake photos.

It's the reverse of when a secretly AI photo won a photo contest. Looking back at that photo now, though, that I'm more familiar with AI. Definitely looks a bit AI:

Yeah, music is already fake as heck. That was one of the things I really appreciated during my year-long swing binge. People actually sang and played back then.

I tried an AI music generator recently. It was...music. I mean, music is not that hard to formulate. But it wasn't as good as actual composed tracks.
