can anyone point me to an explanation of the formats supported by FCP. I am wanting to shoot and event in PAL DVCPRO50 at 25p and edit in FCP.
Is 25p DVCPRO50 supported in FCP?

FCP 5.0.4 supports these HVX-202(200e) formats:
- DVCPRO HD 1080 at 25p and 50i
- DVCPRO 50 at 25p and 50i
- DVCPRO at 25p and 50i
- DV at 25p and 50i
What FCP does not support out of the box is any HVX-202 720p format.
P2 Log includes tools to make 720p work as well so FCP supports:
- DVCPRO HD 720p25, 720pn25 and 720p50 (at variable framerates)
- DVCPRO HD 1080 at 25p and 50i
- DVCPRO 50 at 25p and 50i
- DVCPRO at 25p and 50i
- DV at 25p and 50i
