IR on 7d using Hoya R72?

Has anyone been able to get anything decent with this filter on 7d? I have 15 or so days to return/exchange it for another brand, just wondering if anyone got it to work and if so what the settings were. I know from reading that the 7d is IR sensitive going by the remote test but also saw mention of IR blocking. Thanks in advance

I was interested in some IR work as well. I picked up a cheapo IR filter from china but i thought that the 7d and my t2i both had a filter directly on the sensor that had to be removed before this would work. I could be wrong but i know i have seen lots of places offering mod services or instructions http://ghonis2.ho8.com/rebelmod450d1.html

That filter will totally work, even with the IR protective filter in your camera. Here are some shots I took with the Hoya in Cambodia (probably around 3 min exposure each photo)
