C100: iPad in the Classroom Promo

Finally got to use my C100 (and a little bit of the 60D) for a charter school's ipad program. The video was shot in one day with 3 interview setups (2x flo lights and 1 bounce board), and 4 classes of b-roll (natural lighting). Lenses used were the Canon 17-55 f2.8 and the 70-200 f4. I also took care of the editing (was only given the logos), and am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Would love some honest critiques!

LOVE the shots at 2:41 and 2:42-2:44. First, the kids walking out of the classroom with the sun pouring out of the doors was awesome, then the dolly shot of the empty classroom was great too, loved how you were able to keep exterior detail through the window.

On the interview shots in the classrooms, did you leave the overhead fluorescents turned on?

I thought it was great. Looks really polished. Couple of questions:

1. I'm assuming the 60D was used for the second angle during the interviews? It seems to match up well to the C100. Can you share what profiles you used in each camera, and then what strategies you used for color grading, if any?

2. The camera movement was nice. What gear other than a tripod did you use? Slider, glidecam, etc?

Thank you guys for the positive feedback!

Ah yeah the sun coming in through behind the door was one of my favorites too. I kept all of the overhead fluorescents on during the interviews (I tried turning them off but was too dark; any extra flo-lights would be seen in the wide dolly shots). Had to keep the setup quick and easy since I only had 45 minutes (for each period) to setup and shoot 2-3 interviews.

1) The 60D was the second wide sliding angle for the interviews. I basically used the Neutral picture profile on the 60D and the Standard CP7 profile on the C100 for the interviews, with a little correction in post -- color balancing both, and adding saturation to the 60D. All of the b-roll was shot on the C100 using the Wide DR profile.

2) Thank you! This was my first time really using motion in my videos. I used the 36" Glidecam Vistatrack with Manfrotto 701 head, mounted on a single set of manfrotto sticks (I had to be very careful about wobbles). Everything else was running around with the C100 on a carbon fiber manfrotto tripod with the same head. Being able to switch between the two was absolutely essential.
