Hey guys this is another release but for a different kind of film. Mainly focused on how fast we could shoot something. This film was shot entirely in 45 minutes. As some jobs do require a quick turn around we thought why not try something crazy. Yes it was painful, but we got it done. And edited in 3 hours. We hope you enjoy.

Its ok , i think you broke 180 degree rule a couple of times ,but overall looks good.
You need better microphone for this, looks decent but sound is... you know, meh.

thanks, but i think the 180 line rule was okay to be broken due to the nature of the conversation. Anyways thanks for watching!

I liked it, but I was unclear as to what happened. Hard to believe this was done in 45 minutes but I could see it happening with good planning. Who were the actors?

Concerning the shot that broke the line, I think the biggest problem I had with it is that it was a very wide shot in comparison to the other shots prior too and after it. Breaking the 180 rule may have been a good decision considering the anxious tone the film has. Although if the shot was closer it may have made the cut more seamless.

The biggest issue I had with the film is the black and white flashback and the ambiguous ending. The black and white flashback seemed unnecessary because the visuals looked like a rehashing of what we have already seen, especially considering the short length of the film. There wasn't enough revealing content to make me go, "Aha! Of course! Why didn't I see that!" The next issue is the ending. What happened to her? Did she just give him the jewelery as ransom? Did he kill her and take the jewelery? I was sympathizing with the female lead and the anxiety she had towards the street bum, and to not know her fate at the end leaves me an empty feeling inside. Perhaps this is the effect you wished to stir in your audience but it was a little too ambiguous for my taste.

Anyways, I liked the way your film looked. The one shot I liked the most was the first shot of the lady while the camera was moving vertically. The only steady shot in the film. Then to have an unsteady camera with oblique angles helped show the woman's fear towards the bum. I also thought your sound was pretty good too. I particularly liked the one sound effect when the bum grabbed the woman's wrist. It really helped focus my attention to the woman's fear.

Now the coolest thing about this film is that you shot it in 45 minutes. I think that's a pretty interesting exercise to be honest. This seems like an exercise reminiscent to the 48 hour film festival. One question I have is, how much time did you spend writing/conceptualizing the story?

I enjoyed your film. Keep up the good work and I hope I didn't look into it too deeply.

Well there was no planning - i was figuring out a story in my head on the way to the location after breifly discussing to the actors what i wanted to do as far as an exercise. Then basically told the actors the lines and shot it and RAN lol. It was crazy and won't do it again. Anyways as far as the black and white, i think, really extended what was really seen and i duno, as other pointed out had a neat effect. thanks for watching guys.

Local actors here in my town. Thx again for watching!

I really liked the cinematography and the acting. This was a cool short, but I too have an issue with the way the story ended. I didn't understand what happened either. It was an excellent setup too, because you're wondering what's going on and what the bum's angle is. It's kind of a let down at the end, because you just don't know. Anway, good job on this.

Well you do know, he steals her jewelry that he had to go back and match with his other jewelry. (he had only one ear ring like that so he needed hers to collect the collection).
The whole answers the question of where he gets his inventory.

Like I said, fcrabbath, I think it's a good film, but the ending seems unclear not just to me, but to others that have posted here. I think (IMO) if there is anyway to go back and make that a bit clearer you'd really have something. Just my 2 cents.

Nice work! I agree with the other posters, it's kind of hard to figure out what happens in the end. On the whole, it's great! I really like it, and I'll show it to my friends.
