intern memory

What? You mean you aren't going to buy multiple RED's to have multiple camera angles? Just cut to a different angle, while the one camera is reloading. Wait, if it has a big enough hard drive, it could store enough data not to have to reload. What, it it has an internal hard drive, there will be no swapping of media. Your idea assumes that it will have swappable media. Hummmm. No matter waht type of storage RED uses, someone will not be happy. I think the best media sorage solution is Sony's blu-ray discs. But Sony ain't going to share that technology. So RED will have to stick with a hard drive that makes noise and is slow to start up. That is good for cine guys, bad for news casters. Movie directors know when they are going to yell action. News guys in the field don't. A director has time to down load a 30GB hard drive. A news crew wants to pop out a disk and toss it to the ENG guy. There is no perfect solution. SD cards. Hummmm.

P2 cards

P2 cards

If multiple P2 cards are used (and there are at least two slots), the first card could be removed and replaced with a third card, once the second card has started recording.

Sony's blu-ray discs used in the XDCAMs seem like the cheapest and best way to go. Will Sony want to let RED use the technology?
P2 cards are not cheap. Internal harddrives are not too bad as far as price goes.

Offcourse, this is in the case there's only one memory slot for one type of media (since that's what it looks like on the pics), I don't want to combine cards and hard discs if I don't have to.
Hard discs mean more weight and sensitivity.
