I wonder which HVX200 mode will look better projected digitally in movie theaters... 720p/24 or 1080/24p? If the projector only displays the 720p image, why bother with 1080?
How about transferred to film?
Interesting times for the indie filmmaker lie ahead.
Quoting the article: «(...) The topic of subjective picture quality is complex, but the reasons ABC chose 720P HDTV may be distilled down to a simple truth: it gives the viewer better HDTV pictures.» (despite the tech blá blá blá...) not this: «Randy Hoffner», but this: «Randy Hoffner, ABC Television Network» - if it doesn't say everything, it's near by...alpi69 said:720p, winning again.....yeah.

But, we don't really know how the HVX works on both modes. We can't make judgements about something that isn't yet available for us to see.
Ok, ok, I know we have seen that grab from the music video. But that doesn't tell me nothing, cause I still think the HVX can do better than that.
As for the projectors, I guess you are talking about the consumer ones, right? Cause how was star wars projected? That was shot in 1080p.
That's the real question. I know Star Wars III, Sin City, and the upcoming Superman are all shot in 1080p, but what about the digital projectors in movie theaters? Are they 1080p as well, or do they downsize to 720p?araujofh said:As for the projectors, I guess you are talking about the consumer ones, right? Cause how was star wars projected?
