C100: Intercut c100 with 6D?

My GF just took delivery of her new 6D today. I plan to order a c100. I'd like to be able to use the 6D for a B camera and slow motion and intercut it with the c100 at times, and vice versus. How realistic is this without a TON of complex grading? This would generally be for narratives and docs.

Phillip Bloom used the C300 and the 1DX on the Olly knights video, and they worked together quite nicely. If you watch the video, you can see the differences if you are looking, but that's to do with the softer and FF look of the DSLR, not the colour. So in short yes, it can be done easily. You just have to think about your shots. Use the standard profile on both, set the 6D up for the close shots and the c100 for everything else. Use the C100 like a DSLR, light correctly, and get as close as possible to the finished look you want and you will have success on every shoot. I will not be shooting Canon log "flat" on an 8bit 4.2.0 AVCHD codec. I went through all of this with the "Cinestyle" profile. The C100 is a DLSR with video trimmings... Use it like a DSLR, light like a photographer ( as close to the final image as possible. ) Ensure correct exposure on the talent's face by taken a incident meter readings and your projects will be a joy to work with in post..

Thanks. Sounds good. I watched those videos last night. Only thing is Phillip Bloom shot in 4K motion jpeg on the 1D-c, not the 1D-x, but for sure I understand. It sucks that so many people seem to be suggesting that the footage is better shot in AVCHD than output to ProRes HQ. I wonder if it's a difference in the Ninja vs. the blackmagic and they way they handle it, or if it's really a problem with the ProRes encoding across the board.

Yeah to me it's far better than a DSLR, I always classed it as a baby C300, which it is. The only relationship to a DSLR is its form factor.

I was cutting some C100 with DSLR footage and there are times when you can really tell the difference just due to the softness. The only thing you can do is make sure the DSLR shots are something completely different (eg. if the DSLR is on a glidecam it wont matter so much, if both cameras are on an interview subject from different angles it will matter a lot).
