Hello all. I want to buy a Intensity Pro from blackmagic for my hvx200 productions. My question is. Does this support 1080 24p or does it support any progressive frames or not? Please let me know. I am trying to get the best video quality I can get out of the hvx200 without burning a hole in my pocket. Please let me know. Thank you so much in advance.

Okay, what am I missing? HDMI and component inputs for IPro.

But are you attempting a life direct to computer out the component feed of the HVX200?

yes i want to take out footage shot on the hvx200 from my firstore 100 hd in uncompressed 1080 24 progresive frames. I have a hdmi monitor and from what I read on some sites this card seems to good to be true. I don't know if i need it. I don't want to throw money away for nothing. I am shooting 3 tv shows and one full movie that I will pitch. The 3 shows are pilots on dvd the others which is the movie I want to turn it to film. please let me know. Thank you.

You will be able to play 24p effectively by FCP adding the pulldown back upon playback. The Intensity does not support 24p natively for capture, but you wouldn't be using it for capture... just as a monitoring board.

DVCProHD is compressed upon videoing. There isn't a way around when you video capture direct to the FS-100.

As Ned points out, all this board does is enable you to view the footage externally.

But once it is one a p2 card and/or a Firestore, it is compressed footage. Good quality compressed, but compressed nonetheless.

will networs accept the hd from the hvx even thogh it's compressed? does all cameras that are even in lets say cw11 shows, are they shot compressed as well? I am so sorry for the questions. I just bought a HVX200 and am lost on what it can do. please let me know. Thank you again.

Virtually all HD footage is compressed.

You might want to contact the network in question and talk with it to clarify what is accepted.

so if i have a hdmimonitor for my pc is it needed for me to get the intensity pro or It is not needed?
