Intelligent AI Servo Auto-Focus

Canon's high-end digital still cameras have demonstrated that auto-focus is actually usable for some applications and their AI servo technology that tracks a moving object is really cool, therefore, I'd like to see Red bring this level of sophistication to professional auto focus into the motion picture camera world. It's about time we had a "focus puller" intelligent agent built into the camera, I thought this was crazy until I started shooting with Canon's EOS cameras, to have the camera accurately track an object would be awesome.

What you're saying it confirms there wiil be a lot of work from the RED team in order to achieve that. We hope for that RED bet.

It's possible to get this. Actually concerning the focus issue, the ideas here are more than one and submitted with very pragmatism.

Oh, how did I miss your post a few minutes before mine? Hmmm, did not want to be redundant. Anyways... I don't expect this in a first generation Red but thinking about the linkage needed between smart Red camera and Auto-Focus series of Red lens that could do it would be cool... it's certainly something run-and-gun doc shooters would love to have.
