I'd love to see Red add a sophisticated matrix and AI based auto-exposure system. It's a shame that auto-exposure sucks in video cameras and it's gotten so good in digital still cameras. It's about time that motion picture cameras offer the same level of sopphistication in terms of auto exposure than we have in high-end digital still cameras like the Canon EOS series.
I love manual exposure, I love the control, but sometimes it would be nice to have an auto mode that actually works to professional standards. The technology is there, now we need a Madman and a Leader of the Rebellion to change the rules...
