Hey, just curious what you guys think of the Indifocus MiniSlider. For $99, I feel like it would be worth it either way - does it allow you to mount to a tripod on the underside of it like other sliders?

GAH. I need to stop buying other little tools and start saving for some L Glass or a better tripod... like a Manfrotto 501 or something

EDIT: I need to read things first hahah I see it does attach to a tripod.

I have one..and to be honest...its a piece of crap. It just doesent slide well..and it rocks a but forward and backward..with a heavy lens. You can still get some good shots with it..but i seem to have to do it 2-3 times because how crapy it slides. It can gitter and bounce during the sliding motion.

I can't vouch for the indislider, but

ZaZa slider.. check it out. It is really a solid product and very easy to get. Look it up :)

I just used mine for the first time this past week. It is both cheap and effective. Yes, it does not lock down securely enough that moving the camera from one side to the other does cause it to shift slightly which could ruin a shot. However, I found that I could somewhat creatively apply pressure to the bottom to get it to stay extremely rigid while I executed a move. It takes focus but, I guess I'm willing to work harder to get a shot and only spend $100 on a slider I don't use too much.

Informative for sure. I'll hold out for that 35mm L I've been saving for... or should I get the Zeiss F/2 35!?!? hahah decisions, decisions

I have it. It's not bad, but I'm going to rent a dolly next time I need. The indislider is too short too. That's my biggest gripe.
