Hey everyone! I'm mostly a lurker to the forums here but I figure now's a better time than never to let everyone know I'm going to start filming an indie superhero film here in Baltimore in 2-3 months. It's called "The Peculiars."

I've got some concept/test footage you can check out and some other background info on the project.

If you like what you see please share it with somebody and pass it on. I really want to hype up the T2i. It's the amazing little camera that could.

Here's the latest development for our film!

Internet celebrity Amber Lee Ettinger, who was named "The Hottest Woman on the Internet" by E! in 2008 and better known on YouTube as "Obama Girl," has been cast in "The Peculiars!" She's been tapped to play Felicia Goodwin, the publicist/spokesperson of superhero group.

We are also in talks to secure other YouTube and internet celebrity talent to appear in this film so I will keep you posted in the weeks to come.

Well, since this thing has some promise, I feel I must weigh in with an opinion.

The thing lacks the most important element: a decent antagonist with a decent plan (apparently).

Frickin mimes who hang out in a parking garage and don't know how to fight?

That's the great threat to the world?

You still have time to rework this. I suggest you do so.

Keep in mind this was concept footage. Before you learn to ride a bike you use training wheels. Before you draw a comic page you sketch it out. Before we film this movie we shot some test footage.

The mimes in this video are just a couple of my friends and my ex-girlfriend. They don't represent any characters from the film. At the time the villains weren't cast. I just wanted to see what they looked like on camera.

I'm not giving too much away from the story but we do have a very good lead villain and they do have a plan. I don't want to spoil anything but the story is all there. You can't and I don't expect anyone to take anything from my concept footage.

Expect to see a teaser or an early trailer around Christmas or New Years.

And I got the tapped comment. Haha...Never thought about it that way... lol
