Indie Film Tip - Editing 1

Sonnyboo,

Excellent work, definitely a good resource to brush up on or learn tricks. Thanks a lot for that! And it looks like you guys recently wrapped things up on "Horrors of War". When are you guys looking to unleash it?

Watch your email, sending you something soon...

Soon.... very soon.

Looks like the first public screening will be in MARCH. We're trying to decide where to do our "World Premiere".

I haven't read this whole thread so forgive me if this has been covered, did you work on the movie? If so what did you do? Was it shot on a DVX? It looks great!

And this is could be one of those classic lines - "I'm shootin him but he doesn't seem to notice."

I am the co-writer/co-director/producer of the feature film HORRORS OF WAR, but that was shot on super 16mm & 35mm film. Most of our behind the scenes and Indie Film Tips are shot on the DVX100, and even the interviews are DVX100A.

Thanks so much for the compliment on that line. I made it up on the spot when we did pick up shooting. It is very convincingly delivered by Chip Kocel, a well reknown smart ass.

Sonnyboo,

Thanks so much for taking the time to put together such a great resource.

For me, I'm "experienced" as a director/writer/producer, but have yet to really edit my own projects and that's coming soon, so having this kid of resource is excellent. I may know the concepts, but getting it in this formatt is a great reminder. I would think that these are the kind of things that a person can come back to over and over again, just to keep things fresh in their minds. I will.

Thanks again and congratulations on your project. It looks interesting and definitely ambitious.

Amazing resource! Its amazing how blatantly obvious some of these things should be.

This is incredibly useful - I really appreciate you taking the time to produce these. In such a competitive industry, it's wonderful you've chosen to be so open with knowledge. Thanks
