Indie Feature on the 7D

Disclosure statement:

I have no connection to this movie but Andrew Robinson did film another feature in my area. I did some volunteer work on that previous film but have no connection to the new film.

This was all shot on a 7D and according to the blog for the film he partnered closely with Hulu to release on Hulu for the film debut. For those of you looking to use the 7D for indie filmmaking it is a good example of what can be done.

Must be a Hulu restriction. It doesn't look like its being hosted anywhere else. The behind the scenes stuff may be more interesting to some of the people here. I'll see if that's hosted elsewhere.

Interesting watch their production day 1 where the camera kept shutting down when it was too cold... I thought its only shutting down only if it's over heated... I even had my 7D outside under snow last Feb without any cover :-)

I couldn't even get through to the opening credits. WAY too dark. Cinematography/color grading was terrrrrrible. But of course that's just my opinion.

It was too dark during the setup, but I think that was by design. There rest of the film looked pretty darn good. It felt more like a pilot for a crime show than a feature. But IMHO, I'm very impressed by it.

I also thought the opening scenes were over darkened. In watching the "behind the scenes" clips it's obvious they were aiming for dark but it made it tough to see. I also thought the rest looked really good and it definitely played out like a pilot for a detective/supernatural show. I just hoped the other users here might find it as a cool piece done with the 7D.
