In-camera black and white footage

Did you use a jib for some of that? Like around :22?

No, I just tilted the tripod forward on two legs and pulled it back slowly while trying to keep the camera level.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Nice footage as usual Stphen. And hope you dnt mind I use your stuff as an example of what (EDIT- What I think) a good shot is (something I learned from a pro of course).

When you look at disjectas footage in every composition there is a representation of every shade. This makes it looked balanced and compelling. I pulled a grab from the marymoor clip below as an example.

This is something I have been doing often as a matter of course lately, with lighting or without. First I set every shot up viewing in black and white. Simply because I can easily compare the shot to a greyscale chart and see the different shades. Some people can clearly see the shades without the black and white viewing - disjecta for example - me I am trying to get my eyes used to what I should be looking for until it becomes more a natural process.

But try it on every shot you see and like and I bet theres a broad representation from a greyscale chart.

Shot in point below if you have a greyscale hold it in front of this and you will see what Im getting at. Anyway jsut sharing what I think works.
