I am about to begin my first project on the HVX and we plan to shoot in 1080/24pA. When I capture my footage from the P2 with FCP's "Log and Transfer" (using version 6.0.2) the compression of the file and in the sequence is 1080/60i (and yes, I do know how 24p records but this is after I remove the pulldown) and also the quality is set to "Medium". My question is...how can I change the settings on how "Log and Transfer" ingests the files.
When I export 1080/24pA footage (with Compressor) how can I get a good "Master File" thats full 1080p and as absolutely uncompressed as possible?
