Importing a GH2 questions... PAL/NTSC

I'm in California and the GH2 is pretty much sold out everywhere so I imported one from the UK in English... my question is though, I'm using this as a B-roll cam on shoots with the AF-100 so I need all of the 24p video to be 60hz NTSC.

1. The only setting I found in the camera was "video output = PAL/NTSC". Is this the only setting I have to change or is there something somewhere else that I need to adjust?

2. Also, is the UK version of the GH2 EXACTLY like the USA version? I'm assuming they are absolutely identical like different region versions for the Af-100.

Is that max record just per clip or for an entire card?? Also, in regards to my more important questions regarding NTSC vs PAL etc...?? I appreciate any info. TY

Oh thank you. Well that's not so bad then and I'm sure a GH2 hack will come out to fix that anyway. Other than that though, are all of the other functions and options (like switching from NTSC to PAL in cinema 24p mode) and everything else identicial? If not I have 7 days to return it and hopefully hunt down a USA version.

Getting a PAL version means that you have 3 differences...

The PAL version has 1080i50, and 720p50, instead of 1080i60, and 720p60.
The PAL version has a 30 minute record limit per clip.

As far as I know, everything else is the same.

If i'm using the imported GH2 to shoot strictly in 24p cinema mode, then I'm A-OK right? Also, in the settings you can change the video output from PAL to NTSC. does that have any change on the video formats, saying changes the regular video rec mode from 1080i50 to 1080i60? thirdly, I'm assuming that when I'm in "24p cinema mode" and not using the standard video rec mode, then it actually films in 24p and not some sort of psudo 24p in a 1080i50/60 wrapper?

Any details info would be very much appreciated. I'm primarily shooting with the AF-100 and this is my first DSLR... so it's very new to me.

My is a "pal" version for the S.E. Asian countries. I was told my Panasonic Thailand that the European version is the same. Unlimited recording per clip, the limit is the card capacity. I had filmed an 87 minutes clip on it. unless i'm missing something.

does the Pal/NTSC switch change the frequency fro 50 to 60Hz?

I don't know how much of a problem it will be but I think the best way to tell is shoot a fluorescent light the problem is flickering - someone else who actually understands this problem needs to explain it.

I'm going to do some tests and just check out the clips in an NLE to see the exact framerate and Hz. I think if you're using the cam to shoot in 24p cinema mode then it's all A-OK? It's only when shooting in 1080i or 720p that it shoots at 50Hz. ?? Can anyone confirm this?
