IMPORTANT Request for Zombiefest Filmmakers

At some point soon, the velvet curtains will be pulled back and the show will start. The fest will go on even if the entry info is partially incomplete. I have no doubt that some info will be "MIA", but hopefully we can collect it during the 2 week viewing period.

Oh, and say there is a couple serious laggers...Like say some people only check this once a week or so...what will we do then? Is there any way to go on w. out some of the info,a nd get it later? Tim

I might be responsible for at least 3 entries into this contest because I put up an ad locally asking for people who would like to make a zombie flick... the first guy I met was a writer and we immediately had differences because I said I wanted to build a circle of "production buddies" and that "nobody gets to be the boss... not even me". Well when everybody wanted to make the same minor changes to his story the guy freaked out and then I saw an ad from him on the same local site a week later asking for people to make his zombie thing! Fortunately I'll know if he's in it just 'cause I know the story... which would be really cool to see since I met the guy and we parted ways... unfortunately in a hostile manner! Wouldn't it be cool to have a fight with somebody over the way they wanted to do a flick and then see what they did with another group? I'd LOVE that!

Okay next I have a girl involved who was GREAT... she was exactly what I had in mind as part of this circle of friends... and she is also a film student at a local college (Lindenwood)... and ironically enough, her teacher ALSO decided to make a zombie flick.

So the thing that's REALLY got me curious is if those two films are in this contest somewhere! Are you beginning to see why I'm dying to see these videos even more then everybody else?

I have no way of knowing if Peter C. is in the contest because this girl wouldn't say a word about his short... and the other guy apparently used a FAKE NAME when he met me because the ad I saw locally was almost the same name... it went from S. Kone to S. Keough... So if anybody *cough*Barry... recognizes that info blink once.:undecided ... or is this a case of :lipsrseal ?

I just sent mine, but my e-mail servers are being reconfigured. To be on the safe side I'm going to re-send the info from my Gmail account as well. Sorry Barry, better safe than sorry.

Barry, do we have the option of having the thumbnail included if we have it available, or are you going to just keep them out across the board? I love the idea, and have a great one ready if we have the option of still sending it in.

I understand, though, if you want to keep it the same across the board as to who has them vs. who doesn't, etc.

We're doing pretty well, but we may have gotten all the low-hanging fruit. I'll post an updated "still needed" list tonight.

Any updates on the re-entry list? We've gotta be getting close to that 38 mark.

80 films, wow thats an amazing respose, charting that graph is like a unique curve, but can we download 20 gigs of films ;) . . . what about a dvd?

There will be a DVD available for purchase, that will include most if not all of the films submitted in the competition ... everyone who wants their films in the packaged DVD, must submit their files via DVD by the end of the month.

Shipping DVD's out to people to be able to view/vote would be WAY to expensive for Barry/Jarred unless they had been charging us entry fees, or charged viewers/voters for that option.

I finally got to test mine out on the big screen, and already see changes I need to make ... editing for the most common denominator, hopefully (i.e. average TV's, etc.). Right now, it's just too darn dark.

So, the dvd must be at his door by September 30th? I hadn't seen a hard deadline (I perhaps missed it).

Hey
I counted up the movies and I might be wrong but I think their are 83. 47 quicktime and 34 windows media player and 2 Mp4's that I guess will play on your default player. I hope everyone has both players. "Hey Brian, are you bored?" "Well yes I am."
