sorry for another one of these threads, im still getting used to the cam.

i've captured before without any problems, but recently ive tried a few times and FCP won't capture my clips. I have them on a SDHC card, and a SDHC card reader, but it just dosnt recognize the clips as video files. every time it says that it is a "invalid structure" or "contains unsupported media" i don't get it?

can anybody please help?

Does it play back in your camera?

There is a program to restore the file structure, maybe someone can point you to it...

You still should have the MTS files in the stream folder... you can transcode these and put in fcp or use a program like Premier that works with mts files nativity.

yeah thats the thing is i still have all the MTS files i dragged and dropped onto my computer. however they wont open in fcp

You can't just open MTS files in final cut...

That's why it's necessary to maintain your folders file structure when you log and transfer the footage to Pro Res. If you've totally screwed up your file structure, you can use a program like toast to transcode the mts clips to something more edit friendly.
