Imperial Odyssey - Honor Thy Father is the third installment of the Imperial Odyssey series. A short film shot on a DVX 100, some of the main problems I encountered were color temperature and shadows. It was shot on location north of Cheyenne, Wyoming and uses some thematic wide shots to really enhance the story. Editing was a challenge because of the various color temperatures due to changing weather, but it presented a golden opportunity to become more familiar with Apple Color.

If you have any feedback I would greatly appreciate it. I hope you enjoy the show.

I can see what you were going for and it was a valiant effort! The acting could have used a little more intensity for this piece. The actors have to believe in who they are (the characters) and the story more than the audience or the audience won't buy it. The girl here looked to just be looking at the guy while he was talking. She looked as if she was trying to act. If she was trying to get revenge, then there are so many emotions that she could have displayed, especially with her eyes. The guy seemed to project his acting as if standing on a stage. A little over the top. Film acting is more subtle. One thing that might help with the lighting outside is to use a reflector. When the guy was talking in the beginning, the background was more eye-popping than he was. Reflect him and he'll stand out more from the background and will focus our attention more on him. I think your location was great and I did like the standoff. The action was pretty good. I did like the super-wide shot as well. Keep up the good work.
