IMO Cine-D is better than Cine-V for Weddings

Cine-D is just more elegant. I get a full spectrum of color with it. Skin tone is more realistic and soft. Cine-V seems harsh by comparison. It's definitely more dramatic. I would use Cine-V for sports, stage shows, etc., but for weddings I'm sticking with Cine-D. I'm curious what others have found.

Are you talking about the scene file or the gamma curve? I shot a wedding with B-Press gamma and was happy with it... but I'll probably shoot my next one in Cinelike-D simply for the better dynamic range. I like the higher contrast of Cinelike-V and B-Press... but that can easily be done in post. My second shooter had some stuff that was slightly blown out that may not have been if the camera was in Cinelike-D

Yeah, Cinelike-D. Exposure is a big deal to us, and even if it isn't technically over-exposed I don't want it to look that way.

you can turn DRS on with CineV and get more range.

i know people say that you can always add more contrast in post, but my experience has shown me that i get much better results shooting cleaner with more contrast than trying to 'fix' it in post on a flatter image.

i'd also recommend experimenting a little with the default CineD scene file, crush the blacks a little, etc, and see what sort of results you can get.
then again, if you're happy with what you got, cool.
