Thanks to Imagine Products !!!! :dankk2: :)

NO THANKS to APPLE (who refuses to take responsibility for the quicktime 7.3 "glitch"). :(:angry: I've lost a lot of respect for Apple over this one... but oh well at least they're still selling a zillion ipods ! :Drogar-Love(DBG): Which seems to be the only thing they care about lately.

Finally after a month all my P2 media is back up and running. Anyone still having trouble go here: http://www.imagineproducts.com/miva...e_Code=IP&Product_Code=1109&Category_Code=MAC

PS. This has nothing to do with those of you who had P2 Log or HD Log on your system and then had problems with P2 media. Rather, this is for those of us who didn't have P2/HD Log and still experienced playback issues.

Agreed. So where's the free fix from Apple?

You can wait and complain and whine and wait, or you can fork over $29 and get back to work. Either way, your beef should be with Apple for breaking it in the first place.

Screw the little guy again and gouge 'em for cash to fix what they broke in the first place.

We don't need a Mac vs. Windows bash-fest here guys. The subject is that there's a fix available from Imagine, and there isn't (yet) a fix available from Apple, so if you have the problem you can now get it fixed for $29 from Imagine. Let's leave the platform wars out of it.

I never whined or complained about it, I was merely stating my thoughts on it. Unfortunately, I have to shoot on firestores because the guy I work for didn't listen to me. I wish I could have P2 problems...sigh...

Hhaha
:)

Don't worry - you can have firestore problems.
There are more than enough problems to go around for everyone - with every possible format.

Yay! Anyone have any tips on using the firestore with louder music? I shot a music video for a friends band and 2/3rds of the footage skipped. sorry for the hijack...

C'mon. Give us all a break.

If you didn't need to upgrade and everything was working, then why upgrade?

Apple regularly updates QT, and no doubt this will be addressed as well.

But comments like this serve no useful purpose in a troubleshooting forum

I'm always careful with Apple upgrades. I wait until the dust settles before install.

Looks like the kind of project anyone with a BS in programming could figure out. I'll ask my roommie and maybe we can craft something shareware.

David,

Although I have come to value and respect the majority of your input on this board, don't scold me for what in my 14 years of using Apple products in a broadcast/production environment has been my experience. Further, if you check the original title of this thread, what I stated actually supports it, AND this thread's placement is not in the troubleshooting forum is is placed in the HVX area with no classification.

The comment "Screw the little guy again and gouge 'em for cash to fix what they broke in the first place" provides what to this board?

If this is what we are all free to do, then the board becomes a place where every body gives their opinion of Apple's service.

My experience has been different.

But who cares?

I didn't intend to scold you, but let's help each other, and leave the rants to the cafe.
