I'm moving back over to the states, and my flight route takes me through LAX, arriving at midnight Tuesday evening, and flying on at 6am Wednesday morning.

Anyone wanna get together for a drink or something at like 2am Wednesday at LAX? C'mon, I know DVXuser's never sleep anyway.

I'm not "From" the US, I'm actually from England originally, and half Finnish.
But I went to High School in Alaska, met a girl, and well .. the rest is history as they say :)

Hey there Mikko, that's great! If I lived closer I would pop in there to see you, but I can't, I just can't. Maybe you'll have to fly out again sometime and visit me.
 
Nope, I won't be at NAB this year.

This move is just to close to make it back down to Vegas fast enough.

Dang Mikko, would've loved to. Are you on the way back to JNU? Passed thru there last week, snow was gone in town. May be headed back that way next month. Keep us posted and welcome back!
 
Juneau - use to be my old stomping grounds, help open up Costco in 1993 there, but now I spend most of my time between Anchorage and Gisborne New Zealand.

Nothing like getting a bunch of funny looks as you are laughing to yourself as the plane pulls up to the gate.

Actually it didn't pull up to the gate. It stopped a little way short, and was then towed.

Geeze, even he planes get towed in LA! This place is harsh.



Pixalated, NZ; yeah, back to Juneau - where I will be residing indefinatly now. (Yay for K1 visa!) I also hit Anchorage fairly regularly.
Anch to NZ? That's quite a commute, even by my standards. :shocked:



Are there really no film-makers in LA? :huh: I've still got like 4 hours to burn.

That's my Steadicam (and all other worldly possessions packed amongst). It takes two cases - I'm sat on a seccond one you can't see. They are maximum size and maximum weight to fly. (P.S. Delta sucks, they charged me €80/piece for over-sized.. sucks when you don't have a client you can bill it to.)

It's practically dead here, it's 3am though, what do you expect. Even the check-in lines are closed, so I'm stuck sitting with my bags for a while still.

Hey, Mikko, sorry you had to drown yourself in boredom. If only I lived closer than five hours away I'd be there. Maybe next time you'll be in town for more than a day and I can make it down. Hope your flight to Alaska was good! Let us know.
